  ①国際物流シミュレーションシステムの高度化について，空コンテナ回送問題を解くサブモデルを構築した． ②インターモーダル国際物流モデルの対象輸送モードの拡張として，ランドブリッジ輸送や航空輸送を組み込んだモデルを構築した． ③AIS等の船舶動静データを活用した全世界を対象とした貨物流動の詳細分析として，国際物流ネットワークの視覚化とグラフ分析，輸送パターン分析に基づく船舶行動のモデル構築，画像解析技術と組み合わせた港湾ターミナル運営の効率化に関する分析，2021年3月に発生したスエズ運河におけるコンテナ船座礁事故の影響分析，Deep Learning の手法を用いた海運市況予測モデルの開発を実施した． ④AIS等の船舶動静データの活用による非コンテナ貨物の国際物流シミュレーションモデルの構築として，航行実績に基づく機械学習モデルによる海上航行ネットワーク自動生成モデルを作成したうえで，ドライバルク貨物を対象とした輸送船舶サイズの選択モデルを構築し，既存モデルに統合したプロトタイプモデルを構築した． ⑤構築したモデルの世界各地への適用・政策シミュレーション分析として，日本および周辺地域を対象とした外航シャトル便新設や新規内航航路導入のシミュレーション，中国・アセアン地域および南アジア地域の国際陸上輸送も考慮した将来インフラ施策シミュレーション，別プロジェクトで構築した北極海航路も含めたモデルを用いた北極海航路利用の将来シミュレーション等を実施した．

  本研究は、20世紀に発生した主要なイベントを用いて、その前後で海運ネットワークに生じた変化を定量的に示すことで複数均衡の可能性を実証的に分析することが主要な目的である。 初年度は計画通り基幹データセットの構築と資料収集を行った。本研究で用いる基幹データはロイズインデックス(1890-2000年)である。これは雑誌刊行物であり、画像ファイルとしてデジタル化したものをテキストデータ化することで初めて分析可能な状態となる。抽出データ(5年に1度の数巻)については多少の準備で分析可能な状態であるが、非抽出データ(全巻)については膨大な量の画像ファイルであり、OCR作業とデータとしての整形作業などが時間的にも技術的にも困難であることが判明した。そのため、ひとまず前者を用いた分析を行うこととした。 準備段階として、主要なイベントをそれぞれ挙げたうえで、予測されるデータの挙動とそのメカニズムについて議論を行った。メインテーマとしては第三次中東戦争によるスエズ運河の閉鎖とし、メンバー全員で取り組むこととし、フランスにあるアーカイブデータを収集し始めている。また、アフリカの沿岸貿易に関する植民地統計についても収集を始めた。 予備段階的考察としては、データが全世界をカバーしていることから、大域的な分析および局所的な分析の両方が可能である点、港湾間競争および階層性の存在などが明らかとなっている。
