    エジェクタ体積は、エジェクタの堆積様式を推定する上で重要なパラメータである。エジェクタ体積の測定では、クレーター周囲の地形高度を使って堆積前の地形を推定することが最も重要かつ困難な段階である。これまでの研究では単純な平画で近似する推定法が主流であり、不確定性も大きかった。そこで我々は、研究対象地域を地表の粗さ(roughness)に着目して区分けし、各々の地域に対して5種類の推定法の中から最適な推定法を選ぶことで、不確定性を小さくする手順を考案した。この手順を用いて、実際に火星のDouble Layered Ejectaと呼ばれる、2枚のエジェクタ(inner lobeとouter lobeと呼ばれる)を持つタイプのエジェクタ体積を測定した。outer lobeの体積分率が、クレーター直径が大きくなるにつれて小さくなることがわかった。今後は、測定するクレーターの数を増やして、この結果を検証していく。 水中で渦輪を粒子層に衝突させる実験において、渦輪によって運搬される体積や、運搬・堆積の分布を調べるため、レーザー変位計と2本のリニアアクチュエータを使って水槽内の粒子層表面の高さを測定する計測システムを開発した。粒子層に衝突する渦輪は、火星クレーターのエジェクタ地形を作るプロセスとして提案されているモデルの一つである。2本のリニアアクチュエータは直交させてx軸・y軸とし、水槽上部に設置した。レーザー変位計をx軸アクチュエータの先に取付け、x軸・y軸を適切に操作して粒子層表酋の高さを二次元的に取得した。この計測システムの高さ方向の精度はおよそ0.2mmで、計測範囲は400mmx400mmである。この計測システムにより、渦輪が粒子層表面に作る地形を定量的に評価できるようになった。今後はこれ用いて、渦輪を粒子層に衝突させた際の運搬体積や、運搬・堆積の分布などを調べる。
