  本年度は，複数の統計・ビッグデータを融合した地域観光統計推計手法の提案に向けて，主として以下の四種類の研究を実施した． 1)観光庁が全国で実施する宿泊旅行統計調査の個票を使用して，現状の表章地域区分である都道府県よりも狭い地域区分における推定の実現を目指し，現状のサンプリング方法を前提として，延べ宿泊者数の推定精度を向上させるブートストラップ法に基づく方法論の開発を行った． 2)携帯電話の電波情報を活用した地域滞在人口統計時系列データを利用して，機械学習の考え方を援用した狭域地域での将来滞在人口の短期予測手法と，Non-negative Matrix Factorizationの考え方を援用した目的別滞在人口の推計手法を開発した． 3)携帯電話の電波情報を活用した地域滞在人口統計時系列データと全国パーソントリップ調査を利用して，地域住民と来訪者の移動需要パターンを高い時空間解像度で推計する方法論を開発した． 4)携帯電話の電波情報を活用した地域滞在人口統計時系列データとクレジットカード決済・店舗ポイントカードシステムのデータを利用して，新型コロナウィルス感染症が観光地への来訪者数の変化に及ぼした影響をCausal Impactの考え方を援用した構造化時系列統計モデルを適用して推計する方法論を開発した．
• Practical survey and analysis framework for spatial visitor behavior and its application to tourism destination management

  The purpose of this study is to construct a practical research and analysis framework for tourist dynamics. In particular, we focused on GPS log data that shows the high resolution tourists' trajectories, and examined the possibility of these data for research on tourist dynamics on various spatial scales. The following three studies were conducted, and the applicability to destination management was considered. 1) Analysis of spatial visitor behavior in a small region by the survey using GPS logger and questionnaire, 2) Analysis of tourist behavior in wide area using GPS log data of tourists voluntarily posted on the Web, 3) Analysis of tourism dynamics in a specific tourist destination using GPS data collected from smartphones.

  The purpose of this study is to clarify the general characteristics on tourist behavior and evoked factors of movement patterns for modeling tourist behaviors in tourist destinations which tourism resources scatter. First, I analyzed intra-destination tourist movement and constructed a classification model for detecting the characteristics of tourists who move in specific patterns. Next, I analyzed tourists’ movements between places of residence and tourist destinations and examined the difference in the length of time to go out, the length of staying time at the destination and the place to visit for each type of tourists.

  今年度は観光行動の動態モデル構築に向けた以下に示す一連の基礎研究を行った。まず、都道府県間の観光流動データを地理的に可視化し、対話的な操作によって任意の年月の流動を選択可能なWebGISを開発し、国外や道府県から東京都へ流入する観光者の月別・年別の動向を明らかにした。次に、パーソントリップデータが詳細化された大規模人流データを使い、東京都市圏での詳細な観光動態を把握するための方法を検討した。具体的には、東京都市圏における日帰り観光客のパスデータに関して、集計および非集計単位での一日の観光動態の時空間的可視化、領域データやパスデータに対する探索的時空間データ分析手法の援用を行い、観光動態の時間・空間的特性や観光行動からみた東京都市圏全体あるいは個別地域の特徴を把握した。最後に、東京近郊の国際観光地である富士山麓地域を事例に、着地を中心とした観光行動の同心円モデルについて検証した。より具体的には、観光庁の調査報告書（二次データ）と現地のアンケート調査から取得したデータ分析結果（一次データ）を組み合わせ、観光者の旅行形態や空間行動の特徴を「居住地からの距離による違い」の視点から明らかにした。これらより、観光者の行動パターンを特徴づける要因を部分的に解明することに成功した。しかし、研究課題の最終目標であるコンピュータによる観光行動の動態モデリングやシミュレーションを達成するには、観光者の意思決定や属性差に関するより精緻な分析が必要であり、今後の課題とされる。
• 体験論パラダイムに基づく景観評価と景観資源の適正配置モデル

  観光レクリエーション空間の計画・管理に関する応用地理学的研究の主要題目として、景観資源評価の研究が発展してきた。本研究では新たな方法論として、観光者の視覚的な関心生起(写真撮影行為)を空間データ化し、それに対して様々な数理統計手法を適用することで、空間の魅力度をミクロレベルで算出あるいは予測するシステムを構築することに成功した。本年度は特に、観光者の関心対象への視線をデータ化し、分析する方法を提案した。また、そのなかで観光者の関心生起と対象地環境とを統合的に分析する方法を提案した。まず、レーザー距離計と光学物理の基礎公式によって、観光者の撮影した写真に写る関心対象までの距離(撮影距離)を推定した。その後、撮影地点、撮影方向、撮影距離の情報から、「関心線」(ライン)の空間データを作成した。次に、関心線の空間的集積を可視化する方法を検討し、集積度・方向性・相互作用を同時に表現できる流動データを提案した。さらに、関心生起の流動データに対して空間的相互作用モデルを適用し、関心生起の流動分布予測モデルを構築した。目的変数は発着地間(対象地を正方形グリッド群で覆った時に得られる2つのグリッドの組み合わせ)の関心生起数で、説明変数は関心生起変数(関心発生数、関心吸収数)、景観変数(建物、樹木密度、空間開放度、池面積等)、発着地間距離の組み合わせである。景観変数算出には、対象地の3次元景観データ(LiDARデータ)を使用した。これによって、観光者の遭遇した視対象と視点場およびそれらの空間的関係性の包括的な評価を実現した。
