• 20世紀ベトナム演劇の歴史研究

  東南アジア大陸部に位置するベトナムは、２０世紀、植民地・戦争・社会主義と、社会変動が続いた国である。それ故に２０世紀のベトナム史は、１９３０年に結成されたベトナム共産党の歴史として描かれることが多いのだが、一方で同国は、多宗教・多民族国家としても知られている。では、その近現代史を共産党史と同一に見なすことは、果たして妥当と言えるのか。このような問題意識の下、応募者はこれまで、公定史観とは異なる視点から同国史を捉えようとしてきた。 本研究課題は、同国の伝統劇カイルオンを通し、文化の側面から公定史観の相対化を図るものである。しかし、娯楽性が高い反面、ベトナムのみならず東西文化の諸要素を取り入れて来たカイルオンは、「伝統文化」として国内外から高く評価されながらも、非常に捉え難いことでも知られている。そこで基礎データベースを作成すべく、回顧録に代表される刊行資料を参考に、劇団・作曲家・俳優といった担い手たちの系譜整理を行った。また、これらで得られた情報を参考に、代表的な演目の詳細を把握すべく、脚本ならびに映像資料の収集と分析を行った。 新型コロナウイルスの拡大により、ベトナムでの現地調査は断念せざるを得なかったことから、これらの調査研究は、既に収集していた資料の読解・分析や、日本国内における文献調査に依拠している。基礎情報の蓄積に関して前進はあったものの、そこから踏み込んだ考察を行うには更なる調査と分析が必要であり、これは次年度の課題である。

  This study compares representations of the body in socialist Eurasia, with a focus on Chinese-speaking countries, Russia, and Vietnam, to reveal the creation, contact, and transformation of national identity in the non-Western and socialist worlds using iconographic techniques. In particular, the project focuses on non-literary materials such as propaganda posters related to wars and revolutions, monuments, and human body imitations, focusing on the body images of heroes, women, and the dead, and analyzes the transmission of socialist culture and the construction of historical memory in each region.
