選考経過：本業績は、土壌微生物が土壌の透水性に与える影響などを実験的に研究し、微生物ばかりでなく菌類も因子であること、微生物活性の温度依存性、微生物起源のガスの影響など、多くの成果を得たものであり、学術的に高く評価できると考えられ、研究奨励賞に値すると判断した。
