    • ユビキタス コンピューティングにおけるコンテキスト認識とセキュリティの交差点の探索。

    • 機械学習、AI、生成系AI (GenAI)、ブロックチェーンを使用した分散型システムとアプリケーションの設計。

    • 自然言語処理、言語モデル、大規模言語モデル (LLM), データ分析を使用してインターネットの安全性とオンライン行動の調査。

    • 教育テクノロジー (EdTech) および学習科学 (Learning Sciences)を活用したCS・STEM・SDGs教育。

    IEEE Japan Medalを受賞。ACMのメンバーとIEEEのSenior Member。 コンピューティングの次世代リーダーの 1 人として、ACM Future of Computing Academy (ACM-FCA) のメンバーとして世界的に選ばれた。


    コンピューター サイエンスの学術的野心を超えて、さまざまな課外活動において顕著な優秀性とリーダーシップの発揮。 ハーバード ビジネス レビューのAdvisory council member。米国、日本、ヨーロッパ、中国の一流大学の最も優秀な学生の間でリーダーシップ スキルの育成に努める若者主導の組織であるScience and Technology Leadership Association (STeLA) の教員顧問。 2013年G8ユースサミット国際代表に選出。2011年G8大学サミットに東京大学唯一の学生代表に選出。

    IEEE東京支部は、Khan先生のシニアメンバー昇格を認めて「IEEEジャパンメダル」を授与しました。その銅メダルの表面の肖像は、日本における電気技術の先覚者、平賀源内先生。裏面の文様は平賀源内先生ご発明のエレキテルを模したもので、中の文字として「平賀源内」と平賀源内先生の雅号「風来山人」を造幣局の特殊技術である潜像で彫り込んであります。
  • 2021年11月 Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Elevation to Senior Membership
     
    情報連携学部のKhan准教授が2021年11月にIEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) のシニアメンバーに昇格しました。IEEE（ニューヨークに本社）は、人類の利益のために技術を進歩させることに専念する世界最大の技術専門家組織です。 IEEEとそのメンバーは、引用の多い出版物、技術基準、専門的および教育的活動を通じて、より良い未来のために革新するようにグローバルコミュニティを鼓舞しています。IEEEは、世界中のエンジニアリング、コンピューティング、およびテクノロジー情報の信頼できる「声」です。 シニアメンバーグレードは、IEEEのメンバーシップのエリートステータスであり、技術的および専門的な卓越性に対する国際的な認識を表しています。IEEEの全会員数は40万人以上ですが、Senior Memberはその内の約8%となります。IEEEによると、このグレードへの昇格には、「豊富な経験」(extensive experience) が必要であり、「専門家としての成熟度」(professional maturity)と「文書化された重要な成果(documented achievements of significance) を反映しています。 IEEEは、新しく昇格した各シニアメンバーに、ブロンズの彫刻が施された優雅な木製の銘板 (plaque) を贈呈します。 また、IEEE東京支部は、Khan先生の昇格を認めて「IEEEジャパンメダル」を授与しました。その銅メダルの表面の肖像は、日本における電気技術の先覚者、平賀源内先生。裏面の文様は平賀源内先生ご発明のエレキテルを模したもので、中の文字として「平賀源内」と平賀源内先生の雅号「風来山人」を造幣局の特殊技術である潜像で彫り込んであります。 以前、Khan先生は、コンピュータサイエンスの次世代リーダーを育成するイニシアチブである ACM Future of Computing Academy のメンバーとして世界的に選ばれました。

    Fahim Khan准教授と坂村健教授（INIAD学部長）による共著論文「A Distributed Approach to Delegation of Access Rights for Electronic Health Records」が、2020年1月バルセロナ(スペイン)で開催された19th International Conference on Electronics, Information, and Communication (ICEIC 2020) において、優秀論文賞ゴールド・プライズを受賞しました。 この賞には、証明書と300米ドルの賞金が与えられます。 ICEIC2020は、IEIEとIEEEによって開催されたもので、本学会では、口頭発表用に選ばれた86の論文から、Gold、Silver、Bronzeの3つのカテゴリで3つの優秀論文賞が授与されました。

    Fahim Khan准教授が、Future of Computing Academy（FCA）の会員に選出されました。これは、コンピュータ分野の世界最大の学会であるACM（Association for Computing Machinery）が設置するアカデミーで、次世代の研究者、実務家、教育者、起業家等のリーダー人材を育成・支援するための組織です。 このアカデミーには、世界19ヶ国から46人のコンピュータ分野を代表する研究者たちが会員として選出されており、Khan准教授は日本から選ばれた唯一のメンバーです。Khan准教授は、この会員として、コンピュータ分野におけるノーベル賞ともいわれるチューリング賞50周年大会に招待され、これまでにチューリング賞を受賞した研究者たちとのセッションにも参加しました。
