    Recently there has been an increasing need for Type B Continuous Vocational Aid Centers (VACs) and, as such, we have conducted interviews at 26 sites in Hokkaido and Okinawa prefecture. Then we tried design support project for VAC. In addition, for the 10 prefectures representing regions with large numbers of newly established offices, we selected 1,000 offices and conducted questionnaires survey about their products, organizations and problems. As a result, we found that product design management methods, the nature of the required aid, and associated problems differed among offices depending on the office size and period of their operation. Furthermore, for those Employment Transfer Support Centers (ETSCs) with strong ties to Type B Continuous VACs, we visited seven locations where we conducted interviews and made observations by accompanying vocational aid personnel. From the results, we have determined six primary factors for the success of ETSCs.

    This research aimed at establishing a method to support sustainable economic independence of Vocational Aid Centers (VACs) for people with disabilities, through focus on design management. Examination of successful design management at several localities were conducted. Based on the results, analysis of success factors was made on the supports by the local governments, and proposal is made on their possible intervention toward effective design management. It is also argued that both society in general and partnering organizations with VACs in particular have not only to correctly understand the problems but to be prepared to act toward better outcomes. The roles involved parties have to play are discussed; management issues of VACs also needs solution.

    18年度の研究結果では、地図のデザイン表現方法によって、理解しやすい場合は移動が円滑になり、理解しにくい場合は移動が困難になるということが確認できた。19年度は、具体的な地図のデザイン表現方法の違いによって空間を移動する際の分かりやすさにどのような違いがあるかを検証した。1:多階層空間の表現方法、地図中のランドマークの表現方法、色彩要素、地図上の文字回転、方位などを変化させた新しいデザインの地図を25種類作成した。2:渋谷駅構内、渋谷駅周辺街路、武蔵野市の住宅地、東工大大岡山キャンパスにおいて道に迷いやすいと自覚する利用者を中心に延べ60人の比較移動実験を行った。この中には高齢者・弱視者を含む。実験中は観察者が利用者の行動について5段階評価を行い、実験後、各種の地図表現の効果と理由等について、個別ヒアリングを実施した。3:この結果、主に次のことが観察・示唆された。●多階層空間の表現方法では、多階層を1つの面に表す地図は理解が難しく、斜視的な立体表現でルートを示す矢印とともに表す地図が最も理解が容易であった。●地図を回転させる利用者でも文字は逆さ方向からでも十分読めるため、文字の回転は必ずしも必要ではない。●ランドマークを文字のみで表現した地図と、文字と建物の写真、文字と交差点の写真で表現した地図では特に差がなかった。●羞明のある弱視者ではダークグレー・黒・白をレイアウトし、ポイントに色彩を利用した地図が最も利用しやすかった。●道に迷いやすい利用者には、複雑な場所だけでなく碁盤目に整備された地域で迷いやすい人、見通しの良い田舎道で迷いやすい人などが存在する。●人によって適切なランドマーク情報量は異なる。●高齢であることと、好ましい地図表現については関係が見出せなかった。今後はこれらの結果について、自覚的空間認知能力と、利用しやすい地図表現要素の関係を分析する予定である。

  • 2017/04 -2017/04 2017年 就労 継続 支援 B 型事業所の自主製品開発事業と求められる支援に関する調査 報告書
